About Me

Hello,

Welcome to my online journal.

My name is Uju. I started this space at the end of 2017 as a way to reflect, share, and grow.

I am a follower of Christ, wife to a God-fearing man, and mama to two intelligent, lovely children. Professionally, I serve as a research scientist (Ph.D.), a role that reflects my deep curiosity and desire to understand the world we live in.

I originally set out to pursue a medical degree, driven by a genuine desire to help others. However, life took an unexpected turn, and I made the difficult decision to withdraw from the program. That season was traumatic, yet it brought me to my knees and ultimately led me to Jesus.

Though I was raised in a religious home and have always believed in God, it wasn’t until that valley moment that I began to truly understand the role of Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit. That realization changed everything.

Now, I’m on a journey of deepening intimacy with Christ, learning to trust His will, listen for His voice, and follow His promptings each day.

I pray to stay sensitive to His redirection.
I pray to be available for His service.
I pray to leave a legacy that reflects His love, power, goodness, and faithfulness.
And I pray that my life, imperfect and surrendered, will leave an imprint on my children and the generations that follow.

This journal is a space where I get to share that unveiling, raw, real, and rooted in Christ. I’m grateful you’re here.

Stay tuned. ❤️

I am deeply grateful for all of my life experiences, both painful and pleasurable, that have led me here. It is in the fire that we are refined. Thank You, Lord God, for Your amazing grace.

Each day, I’m learning to focus on simply being His child, walking in, and sharing, God’s light, love, and grace with those around me.

Always remember:
Even when you do not get it right, tomorrow is another day to try again.  💖

WHAT HE SAYS…

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect”

Romans 12: 2

“FOR GOD DID NOT GIVE US A SPIRIT OF TIMIDITY OR COWARDICE OR FEAR, BUT [HE HAS GIVEN US A SPIRIT] OF POWER AND OF LOVE AND OF SOUND JUDGMENT AND PERSONAL DISCIPLINE [ABILITIES THAT RESULT IN A CALM, WELL-BALANCED MIND AND SELF-CONTROL].”

2 Timothy 1:7

“…BUT WE ALSO GLORY IN OUR SUFFERINGS, BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT SUFFERING PRODUCES PERSEVERANCE; PERSEVERANCE, CHARACTER; AND CHARACTER, HOPE. AND HOPE DOES NOT PUT US TO SHAME, BECAUSE GOD’S LOVE HAS BEEN POURED OUT INTO OUR HEARTS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHO HAS BEEN GIVEN TO US”

Romans 5:3-5
