I am an artist… I want to be. I was a pharmacology major in college, then I added on studio arts as a minor after my first semester. Sadly I dropped my minor because my family got worried I would love it too much and slack off on my plans to become a doctor.
Part of me wishes that I never did drop it… But I choose not to live with regrets.
Every experience, encounter and memory served its purpose to help me become who I am now. I know this talent rests within me… to create… I will relearn to develop it further and then release it.
Over the past few years, I fell behind on many things I enjoyed because I was consumed by my goal to become a physician. Now that I am no longer on that track, I’ve taken a lot of time to reassess my life and why I do the things I do.
I want to do more than work and make money … I want to live mindfully. Share love with others. Be kind. Be considerate. Be thoughtful. I believe in Gods love. I believe that He gives us choices and hopefully we choose to use our blessings and talents to make a difference in the world. Hopefully we consider that every little we can do to make a space better for others is worth the effort. Be light Uju. You are light. You are the artist. Create.
