Hello there people of God ❤. Today’s post has been on my heart for a few days now. It’s a bible chapter you may know very well. I am praying it over my life and you could do the same too. I will be writing mainly in the NLT translation, but may incorporate other versions as well.

The Lord is my Shepherd (He is my best friend, my provider, my protector, my strength, my hope, my guide); I have all that I need (I have more than enough in every area of my life)

He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams [still waters]. He renews my strength (He strengthens, restores, revives and refreshes my mind, heart/body, & soul. Thank You Lord for this new season of my life. Father as I enter into it, I pray that I may be led by You in a new way each day. May I be sensitive to Your prompts, leading, and guidance. Jesus convict me as I need it. Use me Lord. May my life elevate Your Name in all circumstances).

He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His Name. (Thank You Jesus that I am righteous in You. Lord may I continue to grow in trusting You. May I not lean on my own understanding. May I acknowledge You in all that I do and I know that You will make my paths straight as Your Word says)

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You [my Lord] are close beside me. (In my culture, Chisom means God follows me. When we understand that He is close, why would we still allow fear to have any place in our lives. One of my favorite verses, 2 Tim 1:7 AMP, reminds us that He has given us a spirit of power, love, a sound mind/self control/personal discipline, not of fear, timidity or cowardice)

Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me.

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. (Thank You Jesus for being my defender. I don’t have to fight my own battles. Thank You for revealing the truth and giving me eyes to see)

You honor me by anointing my head with oil; My cup overflows with blessings. (I am anointed with the fragrance of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You Jesus for giving me the right spirit and removing all the wrong things from my life)

Surely Your goodness and unfailing love [mercy] will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever,

(In Jesus Name I pray, decree and declare, Amen).

Thank You Jesus for all that You have done. Thank You Lord for all you are doing now. Thank You Lord for all You are yet to do! I praise You. I love You!
